Historic property built by Cornelious Bolton the younger c. 1786 - 1800, who also built Faithlegg House and a rope and textile factory in Bolton (now Cheekpoint). The property came into the ownership of the Galway family in 1914, they used it to berth and sail their yacht ' The Star of the Sea. The property was acquired in 1974 for many years the present owners family used the property to fish for salmon and eels. They also fished his Head Weirs from here. The Weirs were built by Cistercian Monks in 1177.

The property comprises of a natural stone built two storey house which is in the course of renovation. The house has been re-roofed, rewired and crafted timber framed windows have been installed. The the left of the house is The Quay, a Dock and at the rear is a fine walled in garden which has access from a laneway which runs in from the main road.
